Leading Manufacturer of New Raised Access Floor System
(*Data Source:- Arup March 2021)
This carbon case study was based on a commercial office floor with a total area of 20,803 m2 of raised flooring. The embodied carbon modelling shown below, has been carried out by Arup using OneClick LCA software. Values have been modelled in line with RICS Professional Statement – Whole life carbon assessment for the
built environment (1st edition November 2017).
Values are presented based on a sixty-year service life of the building. The values presented are for the two raised access flooring systems only, Eco and New, and do not include any other elements of the building.
The modelling demonstrates the RMF system provides an 82% reduction in emodied carbon up to practical completion ( life cycle stages A1-A5) against a leading manufacturers new system.
