Canada Water A2
RMF were delighted to have been selected to complete the works at British Land’s Canada Water A2 project.
Canada Water was previously called Canada Dock and was originally built in 1874–6 by James McConnochie, the dock was designed to handle larger iron vessels and their cargo. The name originates from it being the key dock for Anglo-Canadian trade
Since the formulation of the 2019 Canada Water masterplan the area has been undergoing a period of regeneration whilst remaining as a centre for commerce with a diverse mix of cultures.
RMF’s scope of works included supplying and installing 18,000m2 our RMF Eco Range from the ground floor through to the fifth floor. Our works also included the following;
- Bridging throughout to accommodate ducting
- Plenum barrier installation
- Floor grille cut outs
- GIFA to lobby areas
- BIM modelling
- Plenum air leakage testing
- T42 pedestal adhesion testing
The raised access flooring had been designed as a plenum and our RMF Eco Range was independently tested on site to confirm it met the specified air leakage requirements. All air leakage tests passed comfortably within the specified air leakage.
During our time on site we also achieved the supervisor of the month award due to our ongoing commitment to excellence and full compliance with all health and safety regulations.
