Retail to mixed use re-fit - King William Street
RMF were delighted to have been appointed the sole raised flooring contractor, by a leading UK fit construction partner, Collins Construction. The project purpose was to transform a former House of Fraser retail unit into a mixed use facility including office space, hospitality and leisure facilities.
The project spanned 11 floors and RMF’s scope of works were as follows;
First floor – supply and install of 905m2 of new medium grade raised access floor
Second floor - supply and install of 915m2 of new medium grade raised access floor
Third floor - supply and install of 915m2 of new medium grade raised access floor
Fourth floor - supply and install of 920m2 of new medium grade raised access floor
Fifth floor - supply and install of 865m2 of new medium grade raised access floor
Seventh floor - supply and install of 678m2 of new medium grade raised access floor
Eighth floor - supply and install of 595m2 of new medium grade raised access floor
RMF also completed the supply and installation of 2,735m2 worth of acoustic pad installation over floors 1-3 to reduce vibration as required by the client.
As the project was completed partially throughout the pandemic the contractor responsible for this site became the first UK Construction company to offer on-site COVID-19 anti-body testing for all employees and this site was one of the locations used to offer this service from.
