Savings in healthcare - RMF Eco Range

RMF were commissioned by a private sector healthcare client to install our RMF Eco range into their mental health facility in Milton Keynes. The clients requirement for raised flooring was to ensure a safe treatment environment for both patients and the clinical teams. Given that the works were due to occur as part of renovation work to an already occupied building there was the requirement for RMF to liaise with both on-site teams and be considerate of all those within the rest of the property re noise, deliveries and site access.

RMF posed the option of the RMF Eco range vs using a new system as the client could benefit from a cost saving, a 25 year warranty and reduce the environmental impact of their project. Also given the clients intention to lay vinyl tiles over the floor plate there was no requirement for the tiles to have a ‘shiny new’ finish.

RMF’s scope of works was as follows;

375 m2 of RMF Eco range installed onto an all new steel pedestal under structure
375 m2 of shimming and adhesive repair works to uneven sub floor
26 lm of cutting in to existing full height wall partitions

The works were completed, on time and under the clients original budget due to their original provision for new raised flooring to be installed.
