Business park CAT-A fit out

RMF were commissioned by a major UK fit out contractor to supply and install the raised flooring required at a large business park in Watford. The client had created a portfolio of several buildings each designed with the intention to support their tenants every requirement on site. The business park has a variety of amenities including gymnasium, on site café, childcare facilities, amazon lockers and even beehives. The client’s focus was to create a space that could be both sustainable and meet the occupiers needs all in one space.

RMF’s scope of works included;

2 x coats of PVA sealer to sub floor prior to install
1,281 m2 of RMF Medium Grade raised access floor installed onto new pedestal under structure
6 x Floor box cable entry cut outs to allow for services
54 m2 of 170mm cavity barrier.

RMF also allowed for out of hours offloading of materials due to other buildings being occupied on site and to minimise disruption to existing tenants. The main contractor allowed for the raised flooring to span a 3 week programme however the project was completed within the budget previously agreed and prior to the 3 week deadline. The client also managed to achieve BREEAM good on this site ensuring they adhered to their own sustainable objectives.
